中国人の象牙乱獲によって中国の富裕層の間での象牙の需要が増し象牙規制が強化されました。古い象牙にまでその影響が出て欧米ではほぼ取引禁止の流れになってしまい、このように象牙が昔使われたものの販売ができなくなりました。そのため、在庫を持っているディーラーは象牙の部分を木材に交換し販売を続けるようになりました。
蓋のハンドル部分のFinial部分に緑に染められた象牙をBoxwood（柘植）で作る作業です。歴史を壊しているようで、複雑な気持ちになります。しかし、そうしないと取引できないので仕方がないのかもしれません。法律に問題があるように感じます。

As a result, dealers with stock have begun replacing the ivory with wood and continuing to sell it.
This is the process of making the green-dyed ivory into the final part of the handle of the lid out of boxwood. It feels like we're destroying history, and it makes for complicated feelings. However, perhaps this is unavoidable as it would be impossible to trade otherwise. It seems like there's a problem with the law.
