古い欠損部分の再構築
アンティークでよく見かける古い欠損ダメージの修復例です。可能な限りダメージ以外のオリジナル部分を残し接木をするためにカットします。その後同じ木材（この時はBoxwood柘植）をカットした形状に合わせ膠で接着します。膠が乾いた後に形状と色を整え、全体をクリーニングしました。欠損部分があると目に止まりますが、このように欠損箇所がなくなるとそれほど気にならなくなります。
Reconstruction of old missing parts
This is an example of restoreing an old damaged piece, often found on antiques. The piece is cut to accommodate grafting, preserving as much of the original surface as possible. Then, a piece of the same wood (in this case, boxwood) is glued to the cut shape using fish glue. After the glue dries, the shape and colour are adjusted, and the entire piece is cleaned. While damaged pieces are often noticeable, they become less noticeable when the missing section are gone.
