このペアのチェストオブドロワー（箪笥）の脚部は切り落とされ、金属の装飾は移動されていました。元のデザインの形に戻すため、新たな形状の脚部を製作し、表面にオリジナルの化粧材であるセイヨウカジカエデ（シカモア）の突板を貼りました。

新しい部分に完璧な色合わせをした後、ポリッシュとワックスがけを行い、箪笥の他の​​部分と調和するように古色を作りあげ修復が終了しました。

この家具の持ち主は剥離し紛失した化粧材の修復を依頼するために工房に持ってきましたが、全体的なバランスの不自然さに違和感を感じ脚が切られているのではないかということを指摘し、足の再構築も加えて修復することになりました。

The bracket feet of these commodes had been cut down and the gilt-bronze mounts had been moved. In order to restore them to their original form, I created a new shaped bracket foot and then veneered the surface in harewood (sycamore).

I then stained the veneer to create a perfect colour match, then polished and waxed it up to build a rich patina to match the rest of the commode.
