彫刻とマーケトリーが施されたフランス製の箱
彫刻とマーケトリー（寄木細工）が施された透かし彫りの箱です。この美しくクオリティーの高い箱は、おそらく19世紀にフランスで作られたものと思われます。
彫刻が欠けているこということで工房に持ち込まれましたが、箱全体を見ると、底の脚の部分が大きく欠損していることに気づきました
まず、緩んだ接合部、ベニア板、彫刻をすべて膠で接着し直しました。その後、失われた彫刻部分、欠けたベニア板を木材で作り直し、欠損していた底の部分（モールディングと脚）全体を作り直し再現しました。
A French Box with carving and marquetry decoration
This is the carved fretwork box with marquetry decoration. This superb quality box was probably made in France in the 19th century.
Main problem was the missing carvings. When I looked at the whole box, I noticed the bottom foot section was missing.
At first I stabilized all loose joints, veneers and carvings. And then I made the missing carving sections, missing veneers and re-creating whole bottom sections(moulding and foot).
I also re-polished 5 marquetry panels and an ebony board(the background of top carving), then colour matching and polishing of the newly made sections.
